Stupid Presidential Forum
February 24, 2004, 6:11 p.m.

Hi peoples. Guess what? I'm updating! *boogie*

To-day was a long, drawn out day. Why? Why, the Presidential Forum was held at our school!

Representatives from the presidential candidates came and voiced the views of the candidates. Some were very expressive and outgoing, some were complete airheads, and one was just a bitch.

Let's all guess who the bitch represented: George W. Bush. Suprised much? There were times when I wanted to jump on stage and rip out her throat.

A student once asked her that if religion should be seperate from the gov't, what other reasons can she come up with to voice Bush's opinion on why he does not support gay marriages.

"I believe I said this once," she said. "Bush believes that marriage is between a man and a woman."

What the fuck is that? I didn't like Bush in the first place, but lady, you just made him look a hell of a lot worse.

Then there was the tree-hugger and her snaggletooth partner representing Kucinich. The tree-hugger, Judith Fitch, used peace as an answer for everything, and never made an actual point. The snaggletooth, however, was the brains of it and made plenty of great points, but lacks the oratory skills to really capture the audience.

That, and everyone kept staring at his badly chipped tooth.

The Edwards representative was cute, but he never went into detail about any point.

The Karey representative was everything a good debator would be: Funny, very intelligent, great speaker, quick on his feet and he was able to relate all of Karey's views to the people. He managed to catch the audience's eye and keep it, which is why he got so many votes at the end of the forum.

Al Sharpton's representative was... nobody. I wonder why.

Wait, no I don't. Who the hell in their right mind would defend Al Sharpton? Does he think he actually has a chance of becoming president? He's a moron. I have never, ever, heard that man make a single point on anything he was asked, and he's not even aware of half of the issues that is going on in today's society.

At the end of the forum, they conducted a vote by section. Originally, we had little keypads to vote electronically on, but the power kept shutting off, and we did it "the old fashioned way."

We did a headcount.

They even did the band seperate. The band was split as follows:

Sharpton:

2 votes, and those two only did it to be funny.

Kucinich:

None.

Edwards:

None.

Bush:

One. Drew Davis, himself. The entire audience cracked up.

Karey:

Everybody else. 14 out of 17 voted for Karey.

The rest of the audience was pretty much broken up the same way: Karey and Bush got the substantial votes, though Karey dominated the section.

Enh, I'll have to finish this entry later. I have lessons tonight. What fun.
